MEDLOW BATH

Situated near the highest point of the Blue Mountains is the beautiful little village of Medlow Bath. At an altitude of 1,050 m it is one of the highest Blue Mountains townships. Medlow Bath is located approximately 115 km west of the Sydney central business district between the towns of Katoomba and Blackheath.  Medlow Bath has a population of about 550 people.

The Great Western Highway passes through the town. At the site of the Hydro Majestic Hotel you can experience some amazing views down through the Megalong Valley. To the south you can see the Kanangra Boyd National Park.

 THE HYDRO MAJESTIC HOTEL

Opening in 1904 as a Hydro therapeutic Spa and Luxury retreat the hotel has had remained an iconic establishment. The new owners have recently spent $30 million on a refurbishment.  As a result the hotel has been brought back to life. It is worth a visit just to enjoy the ambiance and the views out over the Megalong Valley. The Hotel offers High Tea, lunch at the Boiler Room restaurant, dinner in the main dining room or a glass of wine in “The Cats Alley”.

 

  


  MEDLOW BATH PARK

200m down the road from Tournament Café you will find the Medlow Bath Park. The park is dog friendly and and has a well established garden with some great play equipment for children. The park also hosts a full size hard surfaced tennis court. The court is in pretty good condition and open to the public. You will need to take your own racquets and balls. The park a great place to enjoy a take away coffee or one of the very tasty toasted sandwiches from Tournament Café.

GRAND CANYON BUSHWALK

One of the most enjoyable bushwalks in the Blue Mountains takes you down into the beautiful Grand Canyon. The canyon is located between Medlow Bath and Blackheath. The track starts at Evans lookout, a short drive from Murrarang. If you choose to do this walk, take the diversion down to Beachaump falls. For full details click here.
